Our services are designed to support your pet with their urgent and time-sensitive needs. We help support your primary veterinarian and emergency facilities to provide seamless, compassionate care that ensures your pet receives the specialized attention they need when it matters most.
We will not immediately offer overnight care or hospitalization.
Urgent care
Urgent care addresses non-life-threatening conditions needing prompt attention, bridging routine vet visits and emergency services for timely relief.
Emergent & critical care stabilization
Emergent care stabilizes pets with life-threatening conditions, offering advanced diagnostics, monitoring, and life-saving treatments alongside primary veterinarians.
Reproductive services
We offer reproductive services, including exams, advanced insemination, semen handling, and joint evaluations, to ensure breeding success.
Surgical services
We provide tailored orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries, focusing on precision, recovery, and long-term health for your pet.
For Referring Vets
We collaborate closely with referring veterinarians to ensure seamless care for shared patients. Our team works to provide timely services and maintains real-time access to your patient’s medical records, ensuring continuity of care and keeping you informed every step of the way.

I grew up on a small farm in Bend, Oregon where my love of animals started. From a young age I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian. In pursuit of that dream, I earned an undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. I went on to graduate from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. While in school I met Dr. Vollaro and with our common interest in emergency medicine, we started the local chapter of the Student Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.
After graduation I moved to Phoenix, Arizona where I took a job at a general practice with an emphasis in canine reproduction. I gained extensive experience in reproductive procedures such as semen collection, artificial insemination (vaginal, transcervical, and surgical), breeding timing, c-sections, vasectomy and ovary sparing spay, and diagnostics for breeding problems. After many years in the desert southwest, I decided it was time to return to the mountains and forests and was lured to Alaska by Dr. Vollaro.
Since moving to Alaska in 2019 I have been dedicated to emergency medicine and urgent care, while continuing reproductive work on the side. I also help regularly at the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Animal Care and Control to assist dogs and cats in finding their new forever home. When I’m not working I love to travel, read, get outdoors with everything from hiking to snow machining, and spend time with my husband, 3 cats, and 3 dogs.

I was born and raised in Southern California. At an early age, I realized I had a passion for caring for animals. With drive and persistence to become a veterinarian, I attended the University of California, Davis where I received a Bachelor of Science degree. I went on to fulfill my dream by graduating from Western University of Health Sciences in 2007. I began my career in Southern California at a practice that provided both emergency and general care. It was at this point of my career that I found that I flourished in emergency medicine as it brought a variety of challenging cases.
My husband grew up in Southeast Alaska and always wanted to move back, so we made the move in October 2012. I continued to practice emergency medicine in Anchorage and Wasilla. For the past two years, I have been providing veterinary services to local general and emergency practices in the state.
In my spare time, I seize the opportunity to travel and enjoy the great outdoors with my husband, two dogs, Fisher and Huntly, and two cats, Trout and Grayling.

Born and raised in Alaska, I have always had a passion for animals. I had a small menagerie at home, and was always out in the woods, hunting for and trying to catch little critters to bring home. I spent my summers working on my Uncle’s horse farm and eventually working horseback outfitting in the backcountry. I attended veterinary school at the University of Missouri, determined to be an equine specialist but wound up developing a special interest in small animal surgery. After graduation I served 8 years in the US Army and US Army Reserves as a Veterinary Care Officer. During my service, I began moonlighting weekends at a big city emergency hospital to keep my skills up and very unexpectedly, I LOVED IT. Emergency care often brings us into your lives at the worst of times but the potential for resolution of the chaos and the ability to be a part of the turnaround is amazing. When I got an opportunity to return home to Alaska I jumped at it, and I have been very proud to be pouring care back into the community that helped to shape me. I have recently started expanding my surgical capabilities more; bringing more care options home to Alaska.
When I’m not at work, you can find me outside, usually hunting or training my bird dogs. Training our hunting dogs brought me together with Jake. We have two Large Munsterlanders- Filson and Ila and our old Border Collie Kip has been with me since my vet school days. Our chubby marshmallow of a cat Huckleberry was a rescue due to his medical condition. I’m heavily involved in conservation and hunting groups including Northern Lights NAVHDA, WSF, SCI, SA and provide first aid classes for hunting dogs and adventure companions.
