At Susitna Animal Urgent Care, we provide walk-in urgent and emergency care for pets when immediate attention is needed but a full-service emergency hospital may not be required. We serve as the bridge between your primary care veterinarian and emergency hospitals, ensuring your pet receives timely medical care.
Urgent care is for illnesses, injuries, or conditions that are serious enough that waiting more than 24 hours for care may be unsafe but do not necessarily require a visit to the emergency room.
Emergency care and critical stabilization is reserved for life-threatening conditions that require immediate intervention. While we do not offer overnight hospitalization, we provide critical stabilization and coordinate transfer to a 24-hour facility if needed.
We offer a range of specialized services to support your pet’s health and well-being.
For pets needing travel documentation or up-to-date vaccinations, we offer short-notice health certificate appointments and vaccines by referral or on an emergency basis. We ensure your pet meets travel and health requirements quickly and efficiently.

We will work with your primary care veterinary team to obtain recent records and ensure a seamless transition. When your visit is concluded your vet will have immediate access to all records from your time with Susitna Animal Urgent Care.
