At Susitna Animal Urgent Care LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), our goal is to provide timely, high-quality veterinary care while being transparent about costs and payment expectations. To help us maintain efficient service, we ask that all clients review and follow our payment policy outlined below.
Payment Due at Time of Service
Payment in full is required at the time services are rendered. This includes all examinations, diagnostics, treatments, medications, and procedures.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following forms of payment:
- Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) ⚠ Please note: a 4% processing fee applies to credit card transactions to cover merchant costs.
- Cash
- CareCredit
- Scratchpay
Checks are not accepted.
Emergency Deposits
For pets requiring emergency stabilization, a deposit of $500 or more may be requested to initiate immediate care. Further treatment costs will be discussed and approved once your pet is stable and a treatment plan is in place.
Estimates & Treatment Plans
We will make reasonable efforts to provide a written or verbal estimate before beginning treatment. However, in emergency situations, immediate treatment may be necessary without prior estimation. All estimates are not guarantees of final costs, which may vary based on the pet’s condition and response to treatment. If you have budget concerns, please let our team know as early as possible so we can prioritize care and work within your means.
Pet Insurance
We highly recommend pet insurance and are happy to provide records and invoices needed for reimbursement. While we do not bill insurance companies directly, our team will assist you in navigating the claims process.
Refund Policy
At Susitna Animal Urgent Care LLC, we strive to provide transparent, high-quality veterinary care and ensure that all clients are informed about costs prior to treatment. Because our services are medical in nature and often urgent, all fees for examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and medications are non-refundable once services are rendered.
However, if you believe a charge was made in error or you have concerns about a payment, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can review the situation with care and fairness.
Product Returns
- Prescription medications (including flea/tick preventatives, dewormers, and controlled substances) cannot be returned or refunded once dispensed, in accordance with federal and state law.
- Unopened retail items (e.g., over-the-counter supplements) may be eligible for return within 14 days of purchase, with a valid receipt and manager approval.
- We are always happy to provide a detailed estimate before services are performed and discuss any questions related to billing or treatment recommendations in advance.
