We prioritize seamless communication with primary care veterinarians to ensure continuity of care for every patient. Get real-time access to your patient records during or after their visit.

During each visit, clients provide information about their primary care veterinarian so we can obtain records and grant access to our rDVM portal.

Then, the clinic will receive an email invitation to create an rDVM portal account, allowing them to access shared patient records.

Once your clinic has created an account for the portal, you will receive an email notification that your patient is being seen.

Referring a patient to Susitna Animal Urgent Care is quick and simple. We strive to make the process seamless for both veterinarians and pet owners while ensuring continuity of care.

How to Refer a Patient

Phone or Email

Referrals can be submitted directly by the rDVM via phone or email.

Direct Client Referral

Clients may also be sent directly to our facility without prior contact.

Medical Records

To provide the best possible care, we encourage sending medical records with the client or submitting them via email or fax before their visit.

Our team will ensure the pet receives timely, high-quality care and will provide real-time access to patient records through our rDVM portal for seamless follow-up with their primary care team.

Supporting Veterinarians with Our Fast Overflow Vet Services

We serve both veterinarians and pet owners across South Central Alaska, providing temporary relief for overflow patients when primary care clinics are fully booked.

While we do not offer ongoing primary care, we carry a limited supply of vaccinations and can assist with short-notice vaccination and health certificate appointments when needed. Our goal is to help manage demand while ensuring pets receive timely care and are referred back to their primary care team for continued treatment.
